In Budapest, at the prestigious venue of the Italian Cultural Institute, in the presence of Francesco Russo, the vice president of the FVG regional council, which also brought a greeting from President Bordin, on the occasion of the launch of the new website www.giorgiopressburger.eu, was presented the activity of the association which takes its name from the writer, director and playwright who is the emblem of the relationship that links Trieste, the region Friuli Venezia Giulia and Italy with Hungary.
In the presence of the Italian ambassador Manuel Jacoangeli, the director of the Italian Cultural Institute Gabriele La Posta, the vice-president of Confindustria Hungary Alessandro Farina, the CEO of Adria Port Zrt. Péter Garai, the director of the programs of the Imre Kertész Institute Tamás Szabó and many other academic and cultural authorities of the Hungarian capital, was reiterated the connecting role that culture continues to play also in the perspective of the new economic interests that from Budapest look to Italy, just think of the presence of Hungarian operators in the Port of Trieste.
“Pressburger acted as a bridge between two countries that have had, and continue to have, many points of contact and converging interests – recalled Vice President Russo in his speech – and our region is grateful to him for his very current work, that today is relaunched and enhanced by the activity of the Association and by its president Mauro Caputo “. Thanks to the availability of the Kmečka Zveza – Farmers’ Association, the evening ended with the presentation of a selection of Karst wines and with a toast to future synergies between the two countries.
